Not Installing to P3Dv4.5

Hello, I have just purchased this from FSPilotShop, and the file I downloaded is FTE-100.zip - 2,640,170 KB (File Last Updated: Friday, 19th October, 2018 @ 12:05pm).

I use Win 10 Pro x64 with P3Dv4.5 and have the sim installed on its own M.2 SSD - F:\P3D
I created a folder F:\FlightScene for this program.

I read the readme.txt and copied the install files to a Temporary directory and ran the install program. It pauses for a moment to install the vc_redist files, and then eventually exits, with no apparent installation of the Tahiti package.

The installer does not show a screen for what sim is being used, and location of the Tahiti program files.

When the installation is run, a TEMP\Flightscene folder is created of 162 Mb, with 8 files and 2 folders (\amiman and \tools). All appears normal so far, but no other program pops up to ask for licence no. or where P3D is located, or where to install Flightscene. There do not appear to be any other files installed, and there are no modifications to any Lockheed Martin or P3D files that I have noticed, including the config files.

Running the TEMP\Flightscene\ntaa_instl_init.exe or the TEMP\Flightscene\tools\tahiti_config_tool.exe appears to have no effect. They close immediately.

Maybe this is teething troubles with P3Dv4.5, or maybe I have overlooked something, but I would appreciate any help you can provide to get Tahiti operational. The pics sure look wonderful, and after a visit to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora last year, I am keen to sim in this beautiful location you have created.

Sounds like a problem with the vc++ redistrabutables installation. Try installing them manually, here are the links:

After installing them restart your PC and try the scenery installation again.

The 1st and 3rd of the vc_redist programs had properly installed in my initial attempt. The second vc_redist had not installed, so this was the problem, now fixed.

The installation went faultlessly.
