P3Dv5?

Postby Drumsart » Sun Apr 26, 2020 3:44 am

Hello,

Please, will this scene be ported to P3Dv5?

Unless the version for P3Dv4.5 is compatible of course.

Thank you and Regards,
Richard.

Yes, eventually an installer will be made for p3D v5.

The manual install* in v5 doesn't work perfectly with - as an example - a duplicate control tower at Faa'a :

Image

* 1. Launch the installation in a fake FSx directory from "FSJ & PS - French Polynesia - Society Islands v.1.0 Setup.zip"
2. Move all the installed files in a separate directory (external P3D installation)
3. Create an add-on.xml package with effects and scenery components and put it in the discovery path of your Prepar3D v5 or in the C:\Users\<Your Name>\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons
4. Move the 5 files (FPSI_NTTB_ALT.BGL, FPSI-NTTE_ALT.BLG,...) to \scenery\world\scenery of my Prepar3D v5

Where are these files located? (FPSI_NTTB_ALT.BGL, FPSI-NTTE_ALT.BLG,...)

These files refer to a Tahiti scenery from another developer.

I loved T&SI when I was using P3Dv4, but am having problems with black buildings at airports when I loaded the add-on into P3Dv5. (The other buildings, such as those on the waterfront in Tahiti, render in full color).

Is there any way to get the airport buildings back in full color? Or do I have to wait for an official P3Dv5 version?

(PS -- we visited Tahiti and the SI by small ship (the WindSpirit) last year, so I really enjoy returning...)

Try deleting the shader cache folder and then start P3D.

Hello,

Regarding the update for P3D v5, if you make it someday, is it possble you add runway lights on the center line (there is some in real)?

Where will I find the shader cache folder?
