animan will not run

I am unable to see the buildings at airports.
I have installed the Tahiti etc scenery on a Windows 10 PC running FSX with acceleration - I can see animan.exe in the Flightscene folder.
The task manager shows that animan.exe is not running when FSX is running. The exe.xml and dll.xml are configured as per your troubleshooting guide.

Double clicking on animan.exe has no effect. I understand there have been previous issues in this area

Install simconnect again, here is the link:

There are 3 versions in the zip file, make sure you install all 3, RTM, SP1 and XPACK. Then do a restart of your computer and try to run it again.

Thank you for your suggestion to install simconnect.
I have tried loading these 3 versions plus a re-start of the PC. When I start FSX now I get an error message that flightscene.dll is unsafe. If allow it to be loaded FSX stops working. So I can not use the scenery. Is this some form of windows 10 compatibility problem?

I have tried the suggested solution but I can not locate a file named flightscene.dll.
There are 2 folders on my C drive with flightscene name - c:\flightscene contains module.dll, unrar.dll and the config tool. The second location is C:\Prog files(86) etc FSX contains 3 files NTAA etc.

Searching on the object flightscene.dll shows dll.xml_before_flightscene_module and dll (both xml files) in C:users\\Appdata\Roaming\MS\FSX

Is module.dll the same in content as flightscene.dll?

flightscene.dll is in the main FSX folder.
