Re: Disappearing Animan
I found the problem. The dll.xml had an error in the scripting (top Launch section) which prevented execution. I have no idea when/how the error occurred but no matter. It's fixed.

Re: Disappearing Animan
I hate to resurrect an old thread but I'm having these issues again. I reinstalled the Tahiti package but now noticing two problems... 1. Animan does not start (or maybe more accurate to say it doesn't stay running) 2. FSX never asks to 'Trust' the DLL during startup. And of course, it's not in FSX....

Re: DLL issues
Still trying to find a permanent solution. One by one, I started deleting VC++ redistributables but after the 2nd oldest version, other elements of FSX started breaking so I had to stop doing that. As an alternative, I'm trying to figure out what is happening during startup that I might be able to c...

Re: DLL issues
Will do. But, once I delete everything in the Trusted section, FSX will repopulate that area as (1) FSX loads and (2) as I load certain aircraft. So when that happens, should the entry for Animan and Flightscene DLL always be the top two entries? (I believe FSX will always add new Trusted entries be...

Re: DLL issues
I'll work on that. There are many versions of the VC++ reditributables on my system (not sure why). Some dating to the 2005 version. I'll uninstall one by one starting with the oldest first and see if there's any impact. In the mean time, does it matter where the section <Launch.Addon> for Flightsce...

DLL issues
I've owned this product since last year but have had little success in keeping it active. The issue is loading the dll. Yes, I can edit dll.exe and rename flightscene.dll to a new name but that seems to only work once. If I close FSX and restart, I get the dreaded "Flight Simulator has detected...

Re: Disappearing Animan [SOLVED]
It wasn't a moved file from c:\Flightscene. And I don't think it could have been since the scenery worked fine until the aircraft moved. It was checking for updates that fixed it. I'm not sure what changes it downloaded but so far, it seems to have solved the issue. I'll try again tomorrow. And yes,...

Re: Disappearing Animan
As a test, I started a flight at Faa'a using a default aircraft. Animan was running fine. No scenery issues. I let the aircraft sit idling on the ramp for 5 minutes. No problems yet. As soon as I hit pushback, the buildings and surface textures disappeared (resulting for animan closing by itself).

Disappearing Animan
New problem as of today. I've been using Flightscene for almost 3 months now and although I had some initial install issues, they were resolved and everything worked great since then. Today, I loaded a Tahiti flight and all looked good for a minute or two. As soon as I started to move the aircraft, ...

Re: Installation issue - DLL
It seems all is fixed thanks to a revised fsx.cfg. It appears the order of [Trusted] entries is important. Since everyone's system is different and there are thousands of optional tweaks in the config, it's best to just send your files to Support if you're having a DLL issue and ask them to check it...
